This is a photo of Hong Kong from the Peak photographed by Trey Ratcliff, who pioneers High Dynamic Range photos by lecturing and teaching around the world so he can take more photos.  Some look like paintings, but they are photos of what he really sees.  There are worse ways to make a living. He lives in Austin with wife and three kids.
