Houston Metro Rail map – both Approved and Under Study

You should see this map of the Metro Rail Sytem.  Most of it has already been approved.  Some work has been slowed but if you drive the routes, you will see the constructon progress.

  • University of Houston/Downtown Campus Station of Red Line to a new Northern Intermodal Facility, located in the vicinity of Burnett Street
  • University Light Rail Line, running from University of Houston/Central Campus in Southeast Houston to the Redline, crossing in the vicinity of the Wheeler Station and continuing west to the Uptown Area, connecting to the Greenway Plaza and Uptown/Galleria activity centers.
  • North Light Rail Line, from Northern Intermodal Facility to Northline Mall
  • Southeast Light Rail Line, from Downtown Houston to vicinity of Martin Luther King at Griggs
  • East End Light Rail Line, from Downtown Houston to Magnolia Transit Center
  • Uptown Light Rail Line, from vicinity of Westpark/South Rice to Northwest Transit Center
